Conor McGregor shows off long hair and beard during lockdown

Conor McGregor has shared a photo showing off his long hair and beard during lockdown.

People have gone without haircuts for the past two and a half months with hairdressers and barber shops closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The UFC star looked in fighting shape in the snap posted on his Instagram account.

Meanwhile, Dana White believes McGregor should wait to face the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje later this year - but says the Dubliner could fight over the summer.

The Notorious has plenty of options for his next bout, but the UFC President believes he should hold out for another shot at the lightweight belt.

Speaking on Eddie Hearn and Tony Bellow’s Talk The Talk podcast, White said: “I think the best thing for him, I’m not saying this is what’s going to happen, but in my opinion, he lets this Gaethje-Khabib fight play out and he fights the winner.

“I think that’s the smartest move for him. But, you know him, maybe he wants to fight before that and if he does, we can figure something out. I think that is the move for him right now.”

McGregor vowed to fight three times this year before his 40-second demolition of Donald Cerrone in January and has been linked with various bouts on the UFC's 'Fight Island' in July.

Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, Jorge Masvidal, and Nate Diaz are just some of the names the former two-weight champion has been linked with fighting, while last week he claimed to have accepted a bout with UFC legend Anderson Silva.

The Brazilian suggested the rivals fight at a catchweight of 80kg, around three kilograms heavier than the Dubliner was when he beat Cerrone.

In responding to McGregor's labelling him the greatest of all time, Silva said: "I have an immense admiration for the great athlete Conor and I believe that a super fight would be something historic for the sport.

"Neither of us need to prove anything to anyone; I believe UFC and sport fans would like to see this great martial show, testing my martial skills with him would be fantastic!"

Taking to Twitter, McGregor responded simply, "I accept".

Meanwhile,  McGregor has been called out by featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovskii.

The Australian is prepared to move up to the lightweight division in order to face the Crumlin native.

Volkanovskii said: “"Who wouldn’t take that fight?

“You would be an absolute fool not to take that fight with McGregor. “His name is always going to be mentioned in the featherweight rankings and GOAT talks.

“For me, it’s more than just a money fight. It’s more about taking that win away from his name being in the greatest featherweight of all time talk, that would mean a lot to me.”
