Conor McGregor took to social media to wish his mother Margaret a happy birthday today as she turns 63.
The former two-weight UFC champion shared a number of photos with Margaret, including a snap of his celebrations with his mother after his defeat of Chad Mendes in 2015.
The Dublin fighter wrote: "Happy birthday to my mother Margaret. Love you Ma."
McGregor has been active on social media in the last number of days, promising fans a return to the cage and insisting he is on the comeback trail as he recovers from the horror leg break he suffered against Dustin Poirier last summer.
He recently joked about buying Chelsea Football Club, which is up for sale as Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich cuts his ties with the Premier League team.
Mirror Fighting reports that he is due to have a scan on his leg on Monday and aims to return to sparring in April.
McGregor hasn't won a fight since January 2020, when he defeated Donald Cerrone in Las Vegas. On that occasion he also paid tribute to Margaret, who wasn't in attendance.
He said: "My mother is the strongest woman I know and I love her dearly."
Last October the fighter shared a video of Margaret showing off a luxury convertible car.
In the clip, which appeared to have been filmed in Dublin, Margaret could be seen putting the roof up on the car as she said: "It's great to have plenty of money, it's great to be rich."
