Conor McGregor has claimed he wants to explore the possibility of buying Premier League side Chelsea.
The European and world champions are set to be sold by owner Roman Abramovich - if he can find a buyer willing to match his £3billion price tag.
Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss is already preparing a consortium with a view to making a bid before Abramovich's Friday deadline.
And UFC star McGregor has posted a cheeky tweet to Chelsea saying, "I wish to explore this".
His 'interest' comes less than a year after he told his nine million followers that he was "thinking about buying Manchester United."
But could McGregor, who is currently sidelined as he recovers from a broken leg, actually afford Chelsea? The short answer is no.
McGregor is undoubtedly the biggest star the UFC has ever had and is responsible for four of the top-five biggest selling pay-per-view events in the promotion's history.
He has earned millions from his efforts in the cage which saw him win featherweight and lightweight titles in his prime.
But he has made most of his money outside the UFC; first from his professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather in 2017 and then from the sale of his Proper 12 whiskey brand.
His 10th-round stoppage defeat by Mayweather earned him around $100million while his opponent reportedly banked up to twice as much.
For his UFC exploits, McGregor is believed to earn around £20-£25m for each fight with his base pay making up around £5m while the remainder comes from his share of the PPV sales.
But it was the sale of Proper 12 which seriously boosted his earnings with McGregor selling the company for $150m last year.

He claims, however, that the deal could eventually net him a staggering $700m.
"It's upwards of $700m that deal is worth over the coming years and I haven't celebrated with a glass yet because I was in camp so I stayed focused, " he said before his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last summer.
The Dubliner also celebrated being named as the richest athlete in 2021 by Forbes magazine, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, largely thanks to the sale of his company.
McGregor's net worth, therefore, is estimated to be around £135m - nowhere close to Abramovich's valuation.
The Irishman could, of course, join together with other investors and form his own consortium.
But given the time-sensitive nature of the sale, and McGregor's bid to return to the UFC this year - we don't see him following up on his initial 'interest'.
