Conor McGregor issued a surprisingly calm response to Belal Muhammad who claimed the Irishman wouldn't win another UFC fight.
The Irishman has not fought since last July when he broke his leg in a second consecutive defeat by Dustin Poirier. While continuing his rehabilitation from injury, McGregor has been involved in several high-profile feuds on social media against fellow UFC stars including Jorge Masvidal and Islam Makhachev.
McGregor claims to be plotting the "greatest comeback ever" and he will be eyeing a return to winning ways having won just once in his last four octagon outings. Muhammad is the latest person to troll McGregor for his decline in form, writing on Twitter : "Rewatched the O’Malley v Yan fight three times and I think that at the end of the day Conor sucks snd will not win another fight."
Despite having previously produced angered responses to similar messages in the past, McGregor hit back with a series of laughing emojis followed by the hashtag "customer". McGregor has won just one fight which came in 2020 against Donald Cerrone when making a comeback after a two-year hiatus following his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The 34-year-old has struggled for form since becoming two-weight champion back in 2016, and as a result has slipped out of the top ten of the 155lb rankings.. He is will not return to action until next year with a spring or summer date most likely.
However McGregor has not been drug tested for several months after leaving the USADA testing pool and UFC president Dana White confirmed he would be absent for at least another six months, which is how long fighters are required to be enrolled before competing.

McGregor has since confirmed he now intends to return at 170lb but during his lengthy time out of the ring, many have questioned if the UFC superstar will return at all including 155lb star Beneil Dariush who is uncertain as to why the recovery has taken so long.
“The break is the same break I had. I was ready to fight in August,” Dariush told talkSPORT when asked about McGregor's recovery process. “I don’t know how badly he wants to get back into that octagon. I wish him well. I hope he gets better and gets back into the Octagon and fights. I don’t know if his desire is really there because we had the same break. I really don’t know what’s going on with Conor Obviously, he’s doing movies and for MMA fighters I don’t know if that is a good thing.”
