Retired boxing middleweight champion Carl Froch claimed he could beat Conor McGregor if they fought in an MMA cage.
The 45-year-old made what appeared to be a call-out while chatting about various fighting-related topics on a podcast with his former foe George Groves.
Speaking about potential opponents, both Jake Paul and McGregor's names came up.
After suffering a severe leg injury in 2021, the former two-weight UFC champion is making a comeback later this year.
Froch then spoke about how McGregor would get on against Paul.
When Froch admitted that McGregor would win in a bout with Paul, he was then questioned if he could defeat both of them.
“I’m too big for both of them,” Froch claimed. “Jake Paul, I’d only need one arm, Conor McGregor might give me a few small problems but he’s too small.
“If I’m fighting Conor McGregor in a cage I’d train harder because I would fight Conor McGregor in the cage.
“I could be getting myself in trouble here or into a position I can’t wiggle out of, but I think I’d take him on in the cage. Is that ridiculous, am I wrong?
“I’d take him on in a cage, he’s too small.”
McGregor since responded to Froch's analysis tweeting: “@EddieHearn, get this signed up lad,” with a crying laughing emoji.
