Conor McGregor pays tribute to mum Margaret on Mother's Day

Conor McGregor posted a Mother's Day message to his mum to mark the occasion.

The UFC star said he is "with" Maragaret "forever" in a post on Instagram as he shared a snap of them sitting on a sofa.

He commented on it: "Happy Mother’s Day my mother Margaret I love you so much I’m with you forever."

McGregor also shared a number of photos with his fiancee Dee Devlin, who he described as his "hot momma".

The Notorious and Dee were pictured enjoying a night out at the MMA star's Black Forge Inn pub in Crumlin, a place McGregor has enjoyed dropping into since his arrival back to Dublin prior to the St. Patrick's Day weekend.

McGregor has three children with Dee; sons Conor Jr and Rian as well as daughter Croia.

He recently paid tribute to second born son Rian as he looked back on the first St. Patrick's Day spent with him.

He said: "My 2nd born son Rían’s 1st St.Patrick’s day. And what a day it was!

"Keep your head held high and your posture correct my child, The World Is Yours."

Meanwhile, McGregor enjoyed a day out by the sea with his family last week.

The former two-weight champion took to the sea on a jet-ski and also shared photos of himself and his family on a boat. McGregor also went for a swim in the Irish Sea.

Sharing a photo with his family on his Instagram story, McGregor wrote: "Crew."

It came just days after the Notorious was arrested and charged by gardai after being stopped for alleged dangerous driving.

The 33-year-old was detained as he was spotted in his €170,000 Bentley on Tuesday in Dublin.

If convicted he could be jailed for six months and fined up to €5,000. McGregor was pulled over by officers along the N4 between Lucan and Palmerstown.

The former two-weight world champion was arrested and brought to Lucan Garda station and subsequently charged with the offence.

A spokeswoman said: “Gardai arrested a man aged in his 30s in relation to an incident of dangerous driving in the Palmerstown area [on Tuesday] evening.

“The man was taken to Lucan Garda Station where he was later charged.

“He has been released pending an appearance before Blanchardstown District Court at a later date.”

McGregor’s spokesperson Karen Kessler told cable sports channel ESPN in a statement: “Mr McGregor was driving to the gym when he was stopped by gardai for alleged road traffic violations. He passed the drug and alcohol tests taken at the station.”

McGregor was named as the richest athlete in 2021 by Forbes magazine. He has several previous road traffic convictions and is familiar with Blanchardstown District Court.

In November 2017 he was fined €400 for driving at 158kph on the Naas Road near Dublin. He arrived late to court and was fined after pleading guilty. One year later in November 2018, McGregor was handed a six month driving ban and a €1,000 fine for a series of motoring offences in Kill, Co Kildare.

He admitted in court to speeding on the N7 and driving at 154kph in a 100kph zone on October 11, 2017, in the Black Church area.
