Conor McGregor opens up on 'trauma' of collision as he details treatment

Conor McGregor says he feels good weeks after being knocked off his bike by a car while out cycling.

But the UFC star admits there is definitely "some trauma" following the incident late last month near his home in Co Kildare.

McGregor has been undergoing cupping therapy recently, with marks from the treatment clearly visible on his upper arm and shoulder as he posed for a photo with singer Chris Brown in the past few days.

Opening up on how he feels following the incident, McGregor posted on Instagram: "Got a bang of a car full speed. Feel good tho but defo some trauma. Appreciate the help from my long time masseuse and friend, doctor pain @vasile_bria_dr_pain. God bless all of those in Turkey and Syria currently! Mother Nature please go easy on our bodies. God please, our souls."

Following the collision, the Dublin MMA star said he 'got away with his life'.

He posted at the time: "Got a bang of a car just now from behind. A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full speed straight thru me. Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life."

McGregor is preparing to return to the octagon later this year for the first time since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in the summer of 2021.

He is set to face Michael Chandler after the pair come up against each other as coaches on new series of the Ultimate Fighter, which airs on May 30.
