Conor McGregor has nominated Breaking Bad character Walter White Jr - played by RJ Mitte - to star as Nate Diaz in a film about his life.
After Jared Leto expressed his desire to play McGregor in a film about the UFC star's rise, talks of other actors playing fighters have surfaced. Paddy Pimblett picked Owen Wilson and Jay Cartwright - who is played by James Buckley - from The Inbetweeners as the two actors who would play him.
Diaz suggested Hugh Jackman could play him in a film so he could "beat Jared Leto's ass". But his UFC rival McGregor wasn't a fan of Diaz's suggestion and said White Jr should play him instead.
“Wolverine could play my part so we see him beat Jared Leto's ass that would be fun right [Conor McGregor],” Diaz wrote on Twitter. The Irishman then responded “That kid that played Heisenbergs son is who will play you. Virtually identical.”
McGregor and Diaz have fought twice in the UFC with their trilogy being highly sought since their rematch. Diaz shocked the MMA world by submitting McGregor on 11 days' notice, but McGregor avenged his loss to the Stockton native just five months later.
Leto was invited by McGregor to play him in a film, as the UFC star wrote: "Jared Leto, I invite you to come and practice the part with me!". The award-winning actor, who agreed to McGregor's offer, is a big UFC fan and even welcomed playing Dana White in a film.
“Well, I am a huge UFC fan and I’m a huge Dana White fan. I hope he is a huge Jared Leto fan too. Maybe I could play Dana White. That would be great. If we do the UFC movie, if I was younger, I’d play Conor McGregor,” Leto told Extra TV.

Leto is often cageside for UFC events and was in attendance for McGregor's last fight against Poirier. He added: “I got the beard. What Conor does and what these guys and gals do is just extraordinary…. I’m too old to do Conor, probably, but you never know. We could maybe use some CGI.”
McGregor is expected to make his UFC return later this year having been sidelined since breaking his tibia against Dustin Poirier. The Irishman wants to become the first UFC fighter to win belts in three weight classes and has challenged welterweight champion Kamaru Usman for his comeback bout.
