Conor McGregor has claimed he has "the best ground and pound" in the UFC, but some fans don't agree.
The Instagram post is the latest social media rant from McGregor, who has been sidelined since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier last July.
The former two-weight world champion recently got into an argument with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and tweeted he was "horny" during the UFC 271 broadcast, reports The Mirror.
But in a lengthy post about how accurate his ground and pound is, McGregor mocked the opponents he has finished in the UFC.
"I’ve the best ground and pound in the game," he wrote in the post. "My highest per cent of finishes does not actually come from my standing horizontal back hand, like most assume.
"My highest per cent of finishing wins actually come from the accuracy of my vertical punching (you are all novices vertical striking. Arm hitters. Ask ref to stop it hitters. Fall over on yourself hitters).
"I don’t miss g’n’p. I do not hit arms. I do not fall in. I hit soft face, head and skull. It’s how you’ve seen people vs me absolutely cut up.
"Looking like they’ve just got a bang of a few golf balls off the tee of a driving range. Skin fully opened. Yet me, skin like butter."
Most of McGregor's UFC wins have come by ground and pound after dropping his opponents with his signature left hand.
But his claims about having "the best ground and pound" have been disputed by some fans.
One user pointed out his stoppage loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in which McGregor was on the receiving end of some heavy ground shots after being submitted.
"Says that but gets absolutely mauled by the man with the actual best ground and pound in the game," the user wrote.
A second added: "Unscathed? you snapped ur leg bro lol, whilst another user wrote: "Connor your delusional mate its time to retire."
And a fourth user criticised McGregor's wrestling skills by writing: "The problem is you don’t have the wrestling skills to get it to the ground lol."
McGregor has laid out his plan to return to full training in April and get his next fight booked shortly after, with UFC 276 on July 2 being a likely return date.
Possible opponents for the Irishman - who is without a win in over two years - include Nate Diaz, Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler.
Diaz and McGregor's other UFC rival Dustin Poirier both recently played down fights with him upon when he makes his octagon return.
