Conor McGregor has fans convinced he is beginning to trim down in order to make his UFC return at lightweight.
The Irishman has been out of action for over a year after breaking his leg during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last summer. And in that time he ballooned to over 190lb, and declared during in multiple interviews, including a chat with Mirror Fighting, that his plan was to return at welterweight.
And despite having had more success on paper at 170lb, going 2-1 in the UFC compared to his 1-3 at lightweight, there is a general belief that his best weight is 155lb. As such, photos of the Irish man beginning to lose weight and possibly return to the weight where he was once world champion have excited fans.
He shared a series of four photos from his Lamborghini yacht with the caption "traps for days call me ambush." And most fans noted that the Irishman is looking slimmer, with one noting that his figure is "looking like a 155 body to me". Another added that he was "looking closer to 155".
The feeling among fans in the comments was positive, with a number claiming that "the king is back". He has previously claimed that he "morphed into" his gym SBG's gorilla, having gained considerable mass.
He was unable to do much exercise in the early stages of his injury, but insisted on continuing to train on one leg, focusing his workouts on upper body and weight exercises. His weight went up, but mostly in muscle as he looked particularly top-heavy, as opposed to gaining much belly fat.

He showed off his size in a post outside of SBG Ireland's Dublin HQ earlier this month with the caption: "I have just realised that seven years after our first UFC world title together, and 10 after our first MMA world title, I have morphed into the SBG gorilla."
McGregor has a number of suitors at lightweight and welterweight who are eager to welcome him back into action when he returns towards the end of the year. Charles Oliveira, who is champion in all but name after being stripped for missing weight, will face Islam Makhachev in October, having on multiple occasions pushed for a title fight against McGregor.
But the Irishman has generally pointed towards making a run at 170lb, having previously defeated Donald Cerrone and Nate Diaz at the weight. His rival Kamaru Usman is the champion, and faces McGregor's Paradigm Sports Management stablemate Leon Edwards in his next defence at UFC 278 on August 20.
