Conor McGregor's record-breaking knockout win was repeatedly referenced when the UFC star posed an interesting question to his fans in a now-deleted social media post.
Former two-weight UFC champion McGregor, who is known for deleting many of his online posts, recently asked fans how long it would take for them to answer the phone if he called them. Accompanying his strange caption was a close-up picture of his face, which fans were left bewildered by.
A number of users replied "13 seconds" in reference to McGregor's knockout win against Jose Aldo at UFC 194 in 2015, which set a promotional record for the fastest finish in a UFC title fight. "It only took me 13 seconds," one user commented before another responded, "As quick as you knocked Jose out."
A final user paid reference to McGregor's knockout win against Donald Cerrone in their reply by writing, "Picking up in 40 seconds." The Irishman's 40-second knockout of Cerrone remains his last win in the Octagon and took place three years ago to the day, with McGregor losing his rematch and trilogy fights against Dustin Poirier in the UFC in 2021.
'Notorious' broke his leg in his last outing and has since faced a lengthy period of rehabilitation to prepare for his comeback fight, which is expected to take place later in 2023. Having been limited to upper body training for a year following his leg break, McGregor has bulked up during his layoff and is expected to compete at 170lb in his return.
A number of the UFC's biggest stars have already put their names forward to serve as McGregor's opponent for his return, such as Michael Chandler and 'BMF' champion Jorge Masvidal. McGregor has promised to make an emphatic return to the cage whilst also vowing to "slice through someone" whilst doing so.

Several of McGregor's recent social media posts have bamboozled his fans, such as one tweet that McGregor recently liked on Twitter which showed a pornographic video of a man pleasuring himself. The 34-year-old seemingly caught on to followers noticing his raunchy activity and subsequently removed his like from the tweet.
Fans were also concerned that McGregor's account was hacked when he declared that he was "horny" and wanted to write a book about "dead rats". The bizarre tweet, which was posted to his 9.8million followers, was quickly removed but was reposted online after eagle-eyed fans screen-grabbed it.
