Conor McGregor faces another driving charge as he appears in Dublin court

UFC star Conor McGregor was charged with a further offence of alleged careless driving at a Dublin court on Thursday, in relation to an alleged incident in March.

Dressed in one of his signature suits, the 34-year-old arrived at Blanchardstown District Court in west Dublin at 10.15am in a black Mercedes.

McGregor's case was heard almost an hour later with Garda Denis Lordan telling the court the defendant made no response to the new charge.

The case was pushed back to November 24 with McGregor remanded on bail until then. It remains to be seen how the new court date will affect McGregor's schedule for shooting his upcoming movie debut, where he will star alongside Jake Gyllenhal in a remake of Road House.

As he left the court, McGregor told Mirror Fighting he is "off to film his movie" before declaring that he would be fighting "soon".

The former two-weight UFC champion faced six charges after his last two court dates, including two for alleged dangerous driving. He first appeared on April 7, and at his last appearance in June the case was remanded until today.

In April, along with two counts of alleged dangerous driving, McGregor was charged with allegedly failing to produce a licence, driving without a licence and insurance as well as allegedly failing to produce said items within ten days of the alleged incident.

The 33-year-old fighter was stopped and arrested by gardai on March 22 for alleged dangerous driving near Dublin. He was driving his 191 Bentley Continental GT, understood to be worth €170,000.

McGregor is currently in training for his return to the octagon, which is expected to take place next year after he is finished filming his movie. He returned to full MMA training over the summer, but appears to be behind schedule on his recovery from a broken leg suffered in the summer of last year, and has yet to compete in a full-contact MMA sparring session.
