Conor McGregor faces another court date as DPP considers further charges

Conor McGregor faces another court date as the Director of Public Prosecution is considering further charges against him in his dangerous driving case.

The 33-year-old UFC star was before Blanchardstown District Court this morning, arriving in his Rolls-Royce which was driven by one of his security team. Dressed in a navy suit and navy tie, McGregor sat in court for over half an hour before his case was heard.

Judge David McHugh was told that the file is currently with the DPP for consideration of further charges. The case adjourned until September at the same court.

The motoring charges the star is accused of relate to alleged offences on March 22, when he was stopped and arrested by gardai on the N4/M50 interchange in Palmerstown and on the Lucan Road. The Crumlin man was driving his 191 Bentley Continental GT.

He was charged with two counts of dangerous driving. He was later hit with four further charges. They are driving without a licence and insurance as well as failing to produce a licence and insurance within 10 days of the alleged incident.

McGregor, of Ladycastle, Straffan, Co Kildare, did not address the short hearing. After the case, he emerged from the courthouse but did not comment before he was driven away.
