"You heard it here first. My brand new documentary series McGregor Forever, is coming to @Netflix on May 17! The only place to hear my true story, which is only getting started!" wrote McGregor on Twitter.

he trailer for the program shows McGregor in a hospital bed in shortly after he broke his leg in defeat to Dustin Poirier in 2021.

When asked whether he thought the leg break would end his career, McGregor, with his leg in a cast, admits to the camera crew that he thought he was done.

"I thought it was over as well, that's why I flipped into a different mode," said McGregor when recalling his post fight outburst after suffering the injury.

"Now it was the adrenaline as well and I know I would have calmed down, and like part of me is thinking 'Jesus, what if it was just taken from me like that?'

"I would be a different person, and it was a bit scary to be honest with you.

"But...It's McGregor forever. That's it isn't it. Like a stone, it's McGregor forever. And don't you forget it."
