Conor McGregor has said he is "not interested" in a second fight with Floyd Mayweather after the US boxer had appeared to confirm it was happening earlier today.
Mayweather stopped McGregor in 2017 to extend his unbeaten record to 50-0 before hanging up his gloves.
He has since cashed in on his name by taking part in a lucrative exhibition bouts and will return to the ring this weekend against Mikuru Asakura.
But he revealed earlier today that he had set his sights on facing McGregor again next year - either in an exhibition or a professional fight. "I want to go out there this weekend and have fun, then I have another exhibition Dubai in November and me and Conor McGregor in 2023. We don't know if it's going to be an exhibition of a real fight. But there's been talks of both. I would prefer an exhibition," Mayweather told the Daily Mail.
"I am not into fights where I am going to take any real punishment. So, guys like Conor McGregor and guys that don't really hit hard such as YouTubers or UFC guys, I don't really mind colliding with those kinds of individuals but nothing where I am going to put myself in a position where I am going to harm myself or hurt myself."
But McGregor has now taken to Instagram to post a picture from his first fight with Mayweather along with the caption: "Not interested". He then posted another picture and tagged several of his brands and businesses in such a way so as to block Mayweather out.
