Conor McGregor blasts UFC rival Justin Gaethje and calls him a 'grade A jackass'

Conor McGregor has branded his UFC rival Justin Gaethje a 'grade A jackass' and a 'bird brain' following the American's loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 274.

McGregor has been extremely vocal on social media in recent days as he continues to enjoy a holiday in southern France with his family.

In the build-up to UFC 274 and during the event itself, McGregor was called out by a number of fighters including Michael Chandler, Oliveira and Gaethje.

"Gaethje is a jackass," Mcgregor wrote on Twitter.

"The amount of absolute dribble he speaks as well. Over and Over.

"A Grade A jackass!"

"A bird brain with a bird brain manager," McGregor continues.

"Two bum t***s they are. He is. A jackass.

"Stevo Ocrack head in recovery should see can Johnny give him a part."

Tensions between Gaethje's and McGregor had been simmering all week long. Prior to fighting Oliveira at UFC 274, Gaethje blasted McGregor and stated that he wanted to end the career of "The Notorious"

"At the end of the day, after I win this fight there's two people that are next in line" said Gaethje.

"There's Beneil Dariush and [Islam] Makhachev, and they need to fight each other. And if Conor McGregor's there I think he's just as rightfully available as the other two because they need to fight.

"So I say either everyone deserves it or nobody deserves it. Someone needs to stand out.

"And yeah, whoever. I want that opportunity to take him [Mcgregor] away from the sport forever."

McGregor hasn't fought since July 2021 when he was defeated by Dustin Poirier after suffering a horrific leg injury in the first round. McGregor has been posting training snaps on social media recently and is expected to return to the octagon later this year.
