Michael Bisping has backed Conor McGregor to "light up" UFC champion Charles Oliveira if the pair meet in a lightweight title clash.
McGregor is eyeing a return to the lightweight division before the end of the year as he continues his recovery from a broken leg suffered last July.
He previously demanded a title shot against Charles Oliveira but the Brazilian is now set to face Justin Gaethje with McGregor willing to challenge the winner later this year.
Former UFC middleweight Michael Bisping believes McGregor has good takedown defence and claimed a stoppage victory could be possible.
"Out of all the fights that Conor could have, Charles Oliveira may be one that suits him the best," Bisping said on his YouTube channel.
"I think stylistically, Conor would have an easier time with Charles Oliveira than he would with Dustin Poirier. Conor's got good takedown defence.
"In the fight against Khabib, yeah, Khabib dominated that fight but in the first round it was very hard for Khabib to get him down.
"Conor was fighting off those takedowns for quite some time so he's got a good takedown defence and decent jiu-jitsu as well.
"On the feet, I think he'd light Charles Oliveira up and if Charles couldn't get it down to the floor, Conor could get a knockout. Could you imagine if Conor comes back fights Charles Oliveira and knocks him the f*** out, god I couldn’t deal with it.”
McGregor believes he will make the "best comeback in history" after recovering from his injury and is currently holidaying in the Bahamas with his family.
Fans have been impressed with McGregor's physique as he continues his comeback trail despite being concerned by his behaviour including a promise to give up alcohol.

He is keen to rise back to the top of the lightweight division and has been called out by the likes of Michael Chandler and Tony Ferguson.
However the title remains his ultimate goal and he has been backed by several inside the sport to launch an immediate bid for the crown due to his superstar status.
Oliveira is also keen on the potential challenge of McGregor and has admitted he is "waiting" for an official offer to make the fight happen in the future.
After Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz ruled out renewing their rivalry with McGregor, UFC legend Chael Sonnen also believes McGregor should target a pursuit at the title.
"They are talking about giving Conor a world title fight right when he comes back, that conversation did not go away," he said on his YouTube channel.
"That got called to Dana White one time and Dana did not dismiss it, he did not commit to it but he didn't dismiss it.
"That seemed like the door was open, we've already heard Charles Oliveira wants the fight. Justin Gaethje wants the fight with McGregor, it seems everybody is wide open to the idea."
