UFC superstar Conor McGregor has become the latest sportsperson to weigh in on the controversy surrounding some members of the Republic of Ireland women's team singing an alleged pro-IRA song.
On Tuesday, the Republic of Ireland women's team qualified for the World Cup for the first time in their history thanks to Amber Barrett's second-half strike. Later that evening, footage emerged which appeared to show some members of the team singing an alleged pro-IRA song during dressing room celebrations after the win.
The FAI, Vera Pauw and Chloe Mustaki have all since apologised for the incident. Conor Mcgregor however, believes that The Girls in Green should have apologised - 'To absolutely nobody.'

The Dubliner took to Twitter this afternoon to post a video that mashes up the clips from Sky Sports presenter Rob Wotten's reading of the FAI apology, and McGregor's famous post-fight comments after defeating Eddie Alvarez in 2016.
At the point in the video where Wotten begins to read the apology, the scene cuts to McGregor saying "I'd just like to say from the bottom of my heart, I'd like to take this chance to apologise to absolutely nobody!"
'Celtic Symphony,' the song in question, can be heard playing in the background of McGregor's tweet, which is captioned simply congrats ladies, although the video ends before the line 'Ooh, ah, up the Ra' is sang.
McGregor is the latest in a long line of sports stars to come out and support the Irish team in recent days. Ex- Dublin star Philly McMahon questioned Wotten's suggestion that the Irish players needed 'education' on the matter, while Paul Galvin praised Chloe Mustaki for the 'impressive' way in which she handled the now infamous Sky Sports News interview.
While these Irish stars have come out in support of the team, repercussions appear to be forthcoming for the FAI and the team, with UEFA yesterday announcing that they were investigating the incident.
