Everton are reported to have approached Chelsea with an offer worth £45million for Conor Gallagher – but a mid-season switch to Goodison Park is not expected to appeal to the midfielder.
There has been speculation over Gallagher's future throughout the transfer window. football.london revealed earlier this month that both Newcastle United and Crystal Palace had expressed an interest in taking the midfielder on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Yet Chelsea head coach Graham Potter made it clear he didn't want Gallagher to depart and the England international started for the Blues in the victory over Palace at Stamford Bridge and the goalless draw at Anfield against Liverpool.

Everton's interest in Gallagher pre-dates the appointment of Sean Dyche, who was confirmed as the club's new head coach earlier this afternoon. The Chelsea midfielder was heavily pursued by Frank Lampard, Gallagher's boyhood idol, over a move to Merseyside in the summer but opted to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Gallagher has gone on to make 25 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this term. However, the potential arrival of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica would push the 22-year-old down the midfield pecking order.
Newcastle are understood to remain interested in a move for Gallagher, although it is unclear whether Chelsea would sanction a departure – be it permanently or on loan – to a top-four rival.
