This is the story that never dies. Netflix has released its newest documentary, “Untold: Sign Stealer,” which focuses on the NCAA allegations against Michigan and its former staffer, Connor Stalions’ in-person scouting operation.
The documentary is pretty boring overall, Stalions denies everything and just chalks his ability up to good old fashioned genius. The most interesting part though is when his lawyer details that he believes that Stalions’ private data was breached by someone who did not have permission. His lawyer went on to say, “If that’s true, that’s certainly a violation of civil law and it’s maybe a bigger crime. If it’s true that came from somebody associated or tied to the Ohio State University, and we think it was, if I was going to try to do right, I might be focused on that.”
Its still so odd that despite blatantly breaking the rules and finally being busted, the finger gets pointed back at Ohio State. Maybe the Ohio State staff also hacked into Matt Weiss’ and Alex Yood’s data as well.
I wanted to hear more details before really having a strong opinion on what Michigan did. But it's clear:
They clearly cheated.
They have been blatantly lying about the extent of it.
They deserve harsh punishment.
The entire Harbaugh era at Michigan is tainted.— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) August 27, 2024
