Connor Stalions Breaks Online Silence to Celebrate Michigan’s National Championship

Ex-Michigan Wolverines staffer Connor Stalions couldn’t help but join in on the fun after his former team defeated the Washington Huskies in the National Championship.

Stalions, who deactivated all of his social media accounts following news of his involvement in Michigan’s sign-stealing scandal, broke his silence on Monday night. After the Wolverines’ 34—13 victory, the former football recruiting analyst posted a GIF of a man pumping his fist in the air in celebration.

It was his first post on X (formerly known as Twitter) since April 2023.

Last week, Stalions was seen attending Michigan’s 27–20 win over Alabama in the Rose Bowl, and while he didn't appear to be present at NRG Stadium in Houston on Monday, it comes as little surprise that he would continue rooting for his old team.

“I love the University of Michigan and its football program,” Stalions told The Athletic in November. “And I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to work with the incredible student athletes, Coach Harbaugh and the other coaches that have been a part of the Michigan football family during my tenure. I do not want to be a distraction from what I hope to be a championship run for the team, and I will continue to cheer them on.”

Stalions resigned from his post on November 3 amid an ongoing NCAA investigation into the Wolverines’ alleged illegal off-campus scouting and signal stealing operations.
