Connor Goldson will be back in Rangers contention for the Scottish Cup semi-final with Celtic at the latest, the club hope.
The defender was a big miss for the Light Blues in last week's derby at Parkhead as two defensive errors helped the Hoops on their way to a vital 3-2 Premiership win. They are now 12 points clear at the top and leaves them as likely champions as Michael Beale's side prepare to face St Mirren at Ibrox on Saturday.
He has confirmed to Rangers TV the centre-back will be out of this weekend but could be back for the trip to Aberdeen, and definitely the Hampden Scottish Cup semi-final: "In terms of last week, Connor won't return, it will more likely to be back for Aberdeen or certainly for the semi-final at the end of the month. We have one or two other bumps and bruises.
"There was a game on Tuesday against Chelsea reserves where Leon King, Ianis Hagi, Rabbi Matondo and Scott Wright got valuable minutes. We will assess tomorrow (Friday) and pick the squad for the weekend."
