Connor Ball suffers Dancing on Ice fall just as judges prepare to give high scores

Connor Ball left the Dancing on Ice judges gutted after he suffered a fall during an otherwise near perfect routine on Dancing on Ice.

The Vamps star, while not a trained dancer like rivals Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne, has been one of the more consistent skaters of the new series so far.

He and pro partner Alexandra have been receiving high scores from the judges and the panel were all set to give Connor some very high scores, before he fell over during the couple's performance to Stars from Les Miserables for Musicals Week.

As Alexandra was wrapped around his legs as he held her, Connor lost his balance as they got tangled up in each other and ended up on the rink.

Connor dusted off the knock to finish the routine, which ended with a daring lift, before he and Alexandra headed over to get their scores.

Ashley Banjo was particularly disappointed at what happened, while Oti Mabuse told Connor she was really proud of him and guest judge Arlene Phillips hinted that she was ready to give a 9 before the stumble.

Connor made light of the fall, taking to Twitter backstage to post: "hello connor fall," with many fans quick to assure him in the comment thread underneath.

One replied: "Connor you’re so talented! We are so proud of you just remember that #TeamConnor we are always on your side for vote and support you" and another responded: "i love you. proud of you for getting back up and carrying on, that’s all that matters!!"

Despite the fall, Connor did earn his highest score to date, while, at the other end of the leaderboard, Bez was rock bottom again, well adrift of the other couples.
