The congressional task force investigating the first attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump is requesting a briefing with the US Secret Service following the Sunday security incident at Trump’s golf club in Florida.
In a joint statement, GOP Rep. Mike Kelly and Democratic Rep. Jason Crow expressed gratitude that the former President was unharmed but emphasized their deep concern about political violence and their condemnation of it in all forms.
The Task Force has pledged to provide updates as more information becomes available.
