Thomas Tuchel has named a 29-man squad for Chelsea's pre-season tour of the USA, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, N'Golo Kante and Ian Maatsen not included. The Blues squad flies out on Saturday following their first week of training, with the club's international stars set to return to the set-up over the weekend.
The club have confirmed that Loftus-Cheek and Kante won't travel to the US due to their Covid vaccination status, while youngster Armando Broja won't join the squad until next week. The group will first fly to Los Angeles for a week-long training camp before travelling to Las Vegas, Charlotte, and Florida, where the club have friendlies scheduled with Club America, Charlotte and Arsenal, respectively
Chelsea will be hoping that Raheem Sterling can join the trip after agreeing personal terms with the Manchester City star earlier in the week. Negotiations with the Premier League champions are believed to be close for a £45 million deal with the prospect of another £10 million in add-ons.

Supporters will have a keen eye on who could be the club's breakout star this summer after Tuchel handed Trevoh Chalobah his chance in the UEFA Super Cup final following an impressive pre-season. There are a number of contenders who will be hoping to catch his eye in the former of youngsters and returning loan stars.
The likes of Conor Gallagher, Levi Colwill and Billy Gilmour return this summer, while Harvey Vale, Charlie Webster and Lewis Hall have been involved in the opening week of first-team training.
