Confirmed Brazil World Cup squad raises key issues for Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have been handed a potential dilemma in wake of the confirmed Brazil squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Chelsea star Thiago Silva is set to be joined by Tottenham's Richarlison and Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli as the four put aside rivalries to try and win the competition.

While they are all set to feature in the 26-man squad after impressive starts to their seasons respectively, it will create havoc for their club managers. The mid-season break for the World Cup has thrown a major unknown element into proceedings when it comes to domestic leagues.

The month-long break will give coaches a chance to work with their current group of players that are available to them, however keeping them fit and available for the return will be a priority. Add to the mix that there is an uncertainty surrounding which players will be available depending on their nation's relative success.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are understood to have lined up a training camp during said period, with friendlies against other clubs set to take place. Other Premier League clubs have already set up or are expected to set up similar ideas for their squad during the time away from competitive action.

While that in itself will create plenty of problems, another issue will be how each player returns to the club when it comes to fitness and their condition. Having so many games in a short amount of time is likely to increase the risk of injury as well as fatigue to the players.

With Brazil backed to make it deep into the tournament, this could become a particular issue as football returns just days after the final takes place. For Silva, Richarlison and Jesus - all of which playing key roles for their clubs - it could be an issue, while Gunners defender Gabriel Magalhaes misses out.

Full Brazil squad:

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Ederson, Weverton.

Defenders: Alves, Danilo, Sandro, Telles, Bremer, Militao, Marquinhos, Silva.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Everton Ribeiro, Guimaraes, Fabinho, Fred, Paqueta.

Forwards: Antony, Jesus, Martinelli, Neymar, Pedro, Raphinha, Richarlison, Rodygo, Vinicius Jr.
