Confirmed Arsenal first-team players under contract for next season as Oleksandr Zinchenko signs

Arsenal's transfer spend so far this summer has now exceeded £100 million with Oleksandr Zinchenko becoming the fifth new addition to Mikel Arteta's first-team squad ahead of the 2022/23 season.

And with just under a month remaining until the summer transfer window slams shut, there's more than enough time for those numbers to increase with the Gunners being heavily linked with moves for the likes of Youri Tielemans, Lucas Paqueta and a new winger in Cody Gakpo.

But it's not just incomings that have been the focus of attention thus far as Arsenal have also tied Mohamed Elneny and Eddie Nketiah down to new deals whilst deciding against renewing Alexandre Lacazette's contract which triggered the Frenchman's release at the end of last month.

And as confirmed by Arteta it's likely that more senior players will be seeking pastures new before deadline day with Bernd Leno, Nuno Tavares, Lucas Torreira and Nicolas Pepe as well as several members of last season's loan army tipped to leave either on loan or permanently.

In terms of the confirmed new arrivals, the Gunners' first signing of the summer transfer window was youngster Marquinhos after agreeing a deal worth £3m with Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo. Whether the teenager features in Arteta's plans next season remains to be seen, but football.london understands he has signed a five-year contract.

The next piece of business the north London outfit concluded - after announcing Nketiah's contract extension - was the signing of Fabio Vieira from Porto for an initial £30m which could rise to £34m if certain bonus clauses are activated during his five-year stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Shortly after the 'worst-kept secret' in football was finally made official when Arsenal confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Matt Turner for an initial £4.5m fee - which was agreed with MLS outfit New England Revolution all the way back in February - that may rise to £7.5m.

The north London outfit's last two deals has seen them raid the defending Premier League champions Manchester City. After completing a £45m transfer for Gabriel Jesus at the beginning of the month and have swiftly reunited the Brazilian with his "big friend" Zinchenko who has signed a four-year contract.

So with clarity over Elneny and Nketiah's futures in addition to deals for Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira, Turner, Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko since the final day of last season, the Gunners now have 33 members of the first-team squad to call upon heading into the new campaign.

As a result, it will be interesting to discover who else Arteta has decided will be signed, sold or kept on this summer. With that said, here’s a look at the first-team players still under contract at Arsenal for the 2022/23 campaign.
