Confirmed Arsenal first-team players under contract for 2022/23 season after triple deal

Arsenal's three announcements over the past week are shaping Mikel Arteta's first-team squad ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Last Monday the Gunners confirmed their first signing of the summer transfer window with youngster Marquinhos arriving from Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo in a deal worth £3m. Whether the teenager features in Arteta's plans next season remains to be seen, but football.london understands he has signed a five-year contract.

Hot on the heels of that announcement came the news that Eddie Nketiah has also committed his future to Arsenal until 2027 after putting pen-to-paper on a new contract and also being rewarded with the no.14 shirt - an iconic squad number at the club because of Thierry Henry.

The most recent piece of business the north London outfit concluded was on Tuesday evening with the signing of Fabio Vieira from Porto for an initial £30m which could rise to £34m if certain bonus clauses are activated during his five-year stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Those deals follow on from Mohamed Elneny signing a one-year contract extension of his own after impressing in the absence of the injured Thomas Partey towards the end of last season whilst Alexandre Lacazette will officially depart when his contract expires at the end of the month.

With an expected busy summer transfer window for the Gunners only just beginning it's likely more players will arrive between now and deadline day. Although there will be some players who will be seeking pastures new with Bernd Leno, Nuno Tavares and Nicolas Pepe as well as several members of the loan army tipped to leave either on loan or permanently.

So with clarity over Nketiah's future in addition to deals for Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira over the past week, it will be interesting to discover who else Arteta has decided will be signed, sold or kept on this summer. With that said, here’s a look at the first-team players still under contract for next season at Arsenal.
