The regular season titles in the four major conferences are set to be decided in the final week of league play as teams jockey for position heading into the postseason.

In the Atlantic Coast Conference, Notre Dame maintains a one-game lead despite a recent loss to N.C. State. The race in the Southeastern Conference is tight, with Texas and South Carolina tied with one loss each. Baylor holds a slim advantage over TCU in the Big 12, while UCLA and USC are deadlocked in the Big Ten.

Key matchups this weekend will likely determine the champions in the Big Ten and Big 12, with Baylor facing off against TCU and USC taking on UCLA.

Teams Eyeing NCAA Tournament Seeding

While the conference titles are up for grabs, teams are also focused on improving their seeding for the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The selection committee will reveal its second set of rankings on Thursday night, adding to the stakes for the contenders.

Shifting No. 1 Rankings

For the third consecutive week, there has been a new No. 1 team in the AP poll. Texas recently claimed the top spot, becoming the fourth school to do so this season. This marks the sixth time in the history of the poll that there have been four different No. 1 teams in a single season.

Notable Performances and Milestones

North Carolina remains undefeated on the road this season, a remarkable feat in Division I basketball. UConn's Paige Bueckers continues to climb the scoring charts, moving into sixth place on the Huskies' career scoring list.

NET Rankings and Tournament Implications

The NCAA's NET rankings, a key tool for the selection committee, have UConn at the top, followed by South Carolina, Texas, Notre Dame, and UCLA. Creighton is the highest-ranked team outside of the major conferences at 31.

As the regular season winds down, the intensity is ramping up as teams look to secure conference titles and favorable NCAA Tournament seeding.
