Concert Square sex videos 'disturbing, damaging and criminal' says mayor
Viral videos of a couple having sex in full view of hundreds of stunned bystanders in Concert Square were today slammed as "damaging and criminal" by Liverpool's mayor.
Numerous clips taken by different sources show the man and woman having sex just yards from drinkers in the popular nightspot and the entrance to Einstein Bier Haus. The pair do not seem fazed when members of the public approach and begin filming on their phones.
Footage also shows the couple having sex in Bold Street and what appears to be a Merseyrail train.

The videos began circulating on social media early on Tuesday to reactions ranging from amusement to disgust, with commentators dubbing the woman "Concert Square girl". Today Mayor Joanne Anderson shared her anger at the behaviour of the couple and said she had been liaising with Merseyside Police.
Mayor Anderson tweeted: "I am extremely shocked and concerned at videos circulating showing acts of indecent exposure and sexual activity in our city. This isn’t amusing – it’s disturbing, damaging and an illegal act.

St Helens and Wigan star died from heart attack after 'beating girlfriend'
A former St Helens and Wigan Warriors rugby star allegedly beat his estate agent girlfriend before he died of a suspected heart attack.
Jennie Platt is believed to have needed three operations after she was reportedly beaten by her long-term boyfriend Ricky Bibey. The 44-year-old mum-of-two is said to have been assaulted after they returned to the £350-a-night four-star Hotel Continentale in Florence in the early hours of July 16.
Jennie, whose friends have said had been with her 40-year-old boyfriend for three years, has only just been discharged from hospital but is still in Italy and needs a medical flight home. It has also been reported that a prosecutor investigating the incident had to wait more than a week to speak with her about what happened due to her injuries.

A family friend told the Mail Online that Jennie was devastated after the “shocking and violent” attack, the Mirror reports.
The friend said: “She has been doing all she can to help the Italian authorities piece together what happened that night, speaking to them as a witness and as a victim of a domestic assault." The friend continued to explain the Florence trip was supposed to be a health break at a spa, after Bibey had suffered mental health issues and a “serious downturn” in the last six months.
