A concert to support those impacted by the war in Ukraine will take place in Newcastle tonight.
Proceeds raised from the gig 'From Newcastle With Love' will go to Newcastle Stands With Ukraine, a campaign which delivers aid to communities within the war torn country that are struggling to access aid from mainstream agencies. Over £13,000 has already been raised from the event before acts take to the stage.
Newcastle Stands With Ukraine was set up within days of Vladimir Putin's invasion, with more than £12,000 raised in its first week. The campaign, led by city councillor Nicu Ion, is delivering aid directly to the Ukrainian border.
