Concerns raised for woman who disappeared on foot in pyjamas from Dural home in Sydney

Police are concerned for the welfare of a 43-year-old woman who was last seen leaving a Dural home by foot in pyjamas on Wednesday night.

North-west Sydney resident Shereen Kumar left her Taylor Road home at 9pm on July 21, wearing white pyjamas and a purple dressing gown.

She was reported missing to Kuring-Gai police by her boyfriend, according to Kuring-Gai Police Area Command crime manager Michelle Mathieson this afternoon.

"On Wednesday night, it was raining. So we are concerned for her, being the weather conditions and the rain that's occurred since Wednesday," Detective Inspector Mathieson said.

"We would really like the public to help us try and locate her.

"We are looking at all possible avenues of investigation.

"The family is very concerned. She is a mum, she is a daughter and she is a very much-loved friend and family member and we would love dearly to find her and to be able to reunite her with her family."

Police are now calling for sightings, dashcam footage or nearby residents with CCTV to assist with the investigation.

She is described as being of Indian sub-continental appearance, approximately 175cm tall, of slim build, with long black hair.
