Concerns growing for missing Scots man after 'out of character' disappearance

A desperate search is underway to trace a missing man who vanished overnight.

James Convery, 52, was last seen a 11pm entering a silver or grey coloured Skoda Octavia taxi on Levernside Road in Glasgow on Wednesday, April 5. He has not been seen or heard from since.

James was wearing a light coloured puffer style jacket, a dark Adidas t-shirt with white stripes on the sleeves, dark Adidas jogging style trousers with white stripes up the side and dark coloured trainers. Officers investigating James' whereabouts say his disappearance is "out of character".

Inspector Fraser Campbell said “This disappearance is out of character for James, and his family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned for him as time passes. I am appealing for anyone who has seen James or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting 4051 of 5 April, 2023.
