Concerns growing for missing Scot as police launch search

A man has been found following an extensive search operation.

Police launched an appeal to trace Duncan Christie, who vanished at 11.55am on Monday, May 30.

The last sighting of the 55-year-old was in the Hairmyres area of East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.

Officers confirmed that Duncan has since been traced safe and well.

Members of the public have been thanked for their assistance in the police appeal.

A Police Scotland statement reads: "Thank you very much for sharing our appeal to trace Duncan Christie who was missing from East Kilbride.

"Duncan has been traced safe and well."
