Concerns growing for missing Hamilton man who vanished from home three weeks ago

Concerns are growing for a man who vanished from Lanarkshire three weeks ago.

Davis Herd was last seen at his home on Roseberry Place, Hamilton, on Thursday, May 12.

The 50-year-old has never been missing before, say Police Scotland, and so concerns are growing for his welfare.

Officers are now appealing for the public's help in their efforts to trace the man.

Davis is described as 5ft 6ins, of medium build with a shaved head.

It is not known what he is wearing when he disappeared.

Anyone who has any information on Davis' whereabouts is being urged to contact police.

Davis himself is also being asked to get in touch and let cops know he is safe if he comes across the appeal.

Sergeant Barry Maguire, of Hamilton Police office, said: “Davis has not been missing before and concerns are growing for his welfare.

“If anyone has seen Davis or knows where he is then please get in touch.

"Likewise, if Davis hears about this appeal please contact us to let us know you are safe and well.”

Anyone who can help should call 101, quoting reference number 1781 of Tuesday, 31 May, 2022.
