Concerns growing for missing Glasgow man who hasn't been seen for five days

There's growing concerns for a Glasgow man who hasn't been seen for five days.

Peter Doherty, 53, has been reported missing from the Govan area and was last seen near the Aldi on Paisley Road West at around 9am on Wednesday, April 27.

His current whereabouts are unknown and his friends and family are becoming increasingly concerned.

Police have launched a frantic appeal for information that could help trace Peter.

He is described as being around 5 foot 10, with short brown hair and blue eyes. His current clothing is unknown.

Peter is known to beg for money in the Govan area.

Inspector Alyson Bolton from Govan Police station says "Peter hasn’t been in contact with his friends or family for a number of days now and hasn’t been keeping to his normal routine which is completely out of character for him.

"We know that he has been in Paisley in the days prior to being reported missing so may have connections in this area that we are unaware of, so I would urge anyone who knows Peter or can provide information on his whereabouts to contact police".

If you believe you have seen Peter or have any information contact 101 quoting incident number 1591 of the April 29.
