Concerns growing for missing Coatbridge teenager Dean Paterson as urgent search launched

Concerns are growing for a missing Coatbridge teenager last seen on Thursday.

Police have launched a search for 14-year-old Dean Paterson after he was reported missing by his worried family.

Dean was last seen leaving his home address on Croy Road in the Lanarkshire town at around 8am on Thursday, March 31.

He is described as around 6ft, of slim build, with long black hair with a red fringe.

When last seen he was wearing black joggers, a hoodie and Converse trainers.

Information from the police investigation so far suggests he may have travelled to the Hamilton area.

Sergeant Mark Chivers said: "Dean has been previously missing, however, his family are becoming increasingly concerned due to the length of time he has now been away.“

Cops are asking anyone who has seen Dean or may know where he is to get in touch so they know he is safe and well.
