Police have sparked an urgent appeal after a teenager vanished from Fife on Tuesday morning.
Caitlin Doherty, 14, may have travelled to Edinburgh after she was reported missing at 11.50am on December 20 from Kilrenny in the north-east of the Kingdom.
The police have added that there is a growing concern for her welfare.
The young teen is described as being around 5ft 3, of slim build, has blue eyes and reddish/brown hair below her shoulder. She also has a scar on her forehead. She is thought to be wearing a cream sweatshirt, with white Nike trainers and may be wearing glasses.
Edinburgh police added: "Concern is growing for her welfare and we would ask anyone with information to please contact 101, quoting reference 1223."
