POLICE have found a body on a Scottish beach amid the search for a 33-year-old woman missing from Edinburgh.
Jordan Allan was last seen around 8.30am on Monday, March 17, in the Relugas Road area of the capital city.
In an appeal on Tuesday morning, officers said that concerns were growing for Allan’s welfare.
Inspector Kenny Robertson said: “It is unusual for Jordan not to be in contact with her family and we need to make sure she is safe and well.
“We are asking anyone who has seen Jordan or knows where she might be to get in touch. She may have travelled to Kirkcaldy by train.”
However, in an update on Tuesday afternoon, the force said a body had been found on Longniddry beach, in East Lothian.
"Formal identification has still to take place however the family of Jordan Allan, 33, reported missing in Edinburgh has been informed," police said. "There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
