Concerns grow for Scots man missing for over a week as cops launch search

Concerns are mounting for a Scots man who has been reported missing from a town in South Lanarkshire. Kevin Coll disappeared from the Kirkfield Road area of Lanark around 8pm on Friday, August 5.

The 56-year-old has not been seen or heard from since, prompting police to appeal for the public's help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace him.

Kevin is described as white, around 5ft 7ins, of slim build and has short grey hair. He usually wears glasses. He was wearing a bright green Nike tracksuit and black trainers when he vanished.

Kevin is known to use an electric e-bike, described as silver in colour, displaying plates on the rear which say ‘Road Legal’.

Anyone with any information on the man's whereabouts are being urged to come forward as the search continues.

Inspector Sacha Solman, from Hamilton Police Office, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Kevin and his welfare and I would ask anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to get in touch.

“Kevin is known to frequent the Carluke, Carstairs, Carnwath, Lanark and Rutherglen areas. Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 2582 of Sunday, 14 August, 2022."
