Concerns grow for missing pensioner with links to Edinburgh as police appeal for help

Concerns are growing after a man from the Borders who has been reported missing.

Kenneth Bareham, 86, was last seen in the area of The Loaning, Peebles at 10am on Friday December 23, 2022. Police are appealing for information in a frantic search for the man.

Kenneth is described as being 5ft 7, medium build, with grey hair at the side of his head, bald on top with a grey beard. He is believed to be wearing a brown or beige coloured jacket, dark trousers, dark grey flat cap and dark shoes.

Kenneth lives in Peebles but has connections to the Edinburgh area.

Inspector David Robertson said: “Along with Kenneth’s family and friends, we are growing increasingly concerned for his well being and are appealing for anyone who may have seen him to please come forward.

“If you can assist our efforts to trace him, please call police on 101, quoting incident 3084 of 23 December 2022.”
