Concerns are growing for a man who drove from Carlisle to the top of mainland Scotland on Christmas Day and hasn't been seen since.
Roderick Augusto is believed to have travelled from the Cumbrian city to Caithness on Sunday December 25.
The 43-year-old, who is described as white, of slim, athletic build, and bald, left his car in the Dunnet Head area, Scotland's northernmost point on the mainland.
Officers have expressed great concern over Roderick's wellbeing and have asked anyone with any information on where he may have gone to contact them as soon as possible.
No information has been released on why he undertook the 370 mile journey during the festive period.
Sergeant Jonny Wilkin, of Thurso Police Office, said: "We are extremely concerned for Roderick’s wellbeing, especially as he has not been seen or heard from for over a week.
"We are appealing for anyone who recognises Roderick or has information regarding his whereabouts to please come forward. We would also urge Roderick to please get in touch with someone to confirm that he is ok.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1593 of Thursday, January 5, 2023.
