A big-hearted Ayrshire mum is putting on a swanky black-tie ball next month to raise vital funds for Kilmarnock's food banks.
Hannah McMillan is putting on her first-ever fundraising ball at the Park Hotel on Friday, November 18.
The 27-year-old Ayrshire College student found herself fretting for her community as the cost of living crisis continues to spiral.
She said: "I've been noticing how the cost of living is putting pressure on the community already and it's likely to get worse during the winter months.
"Although I'm in a lucky position, even I'm starting to feel the weight of the rising costs. It made me feel really horrible because I know there are many more people in the community in worse positions.
"I've never organised anything like this before, but I felt it was important to help the community as best I could.
"There are multiple foodbanks in Kilmarnock and we'll be splitting the money raised between them all."
On the night, guests will be treated to live music, a raffle, a buffet, and potentially some games too.
The mum of one added: "So far we've sold around 60 tickets and the hotel has a capacity for 320.
"We've got some great raffle prizes, the Stewart Reid band will be playing on the night and we'll be hosting a best-dressed event too.
"I'm looking forward to seeing all the girls right dolled up and everybody having a great time.
"It's a brilliant opportunity for people to get dressed up, have fun and raise money for Kilmarnock.
