Concerns have been raised over anti-social behaviour at an East Belfast playing field after around 20 wheelie bins were stolen and set of fire.
On Friday, April 14, wheelie bins were stolen from around 20 properties in the Mersey Street area before being taken to the King George V playing fields and set on fire.
DUP councillor George Dorrian and East Belfast MLA David Brooks have raised concerns about the anti-social behaviour in the area and have said that they will be working with local residents in order to ensure their bins are replaced and their bin collections not impacted during that time.

Councillor Dorrian said: "There have been some anti-social behaviour incidents at the King George V playing fields with the most recent seeing around 20 wheelie bins stolen from nearby properties and set on fire.
"This has caused a lot of inconvenience to local residents who no longer have bins they are able to use and will now need them replaced.
"This is a very unusual incident and I have never heard reports of something like this before with so many bins being set on fire in the playing fields.
"We are working to address the issues at the playing fields with regards to anti-social behaviour and will be looking to organise temporary support to the 20 households who have been effected by this so that they are still able to have their waste collected, despite no longer having bins."
