Concern grows for schoolboy missing for two weeks

Merseyside Police are searching for a 13-year-old boy who has been missing from his home in Seaforth for a fortnight.

Craig Richards was last seen at Birkdale Train Station on July 8, and is known to frequent the Southport area. He was also seen wearing dark clothing and a dark coat at Hillside Train Station.

Merseyside Police said extensive enquiries are ongoing to find him. They added that he is of slim build with brown hair and a longer fringe.

The Twitter account for Merseyside Police South Sefton posted: “Can you help find Craig Richards, aged 13, who has been missing from home in Seaforth since 8 July? He was last seen at Birkdale Train Station and known to frequent Southport.”

They told people to pass on any sightings of Craig via an online form or to report any other information via the Merseyside Police Contact Centre or by calling 101.

The police added on Friday morning that another missing boy, 15 year-old Christian Piggot from Wirral, had been found safe and well in Skelmersdale. He had last been seen in the Leasowe area on Wednesday evening.
