Concern is growing for a woman who vanished in Edinburgh earlier this week. Police say Angela Hamilton was last seen at around 4pm on April 18 or 19 in the city's Lauriston Gardens.
The 49-year-old, who lives in Kilmarnock, was reported missing after failing to return home. Officers have described her disappearance as out of character and have asked for the public's help in tracing her as concern grows for her welfare.
Angela is known to visit Glasgow and Edinburgh. She is described as being around 5ft 6ins, of slim build with long brown wavy hair.
It is unknown what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance but she is known to wear blue jeans and a cream-coloured sleeveless puffer style jacket.
Sergeant Stephen Edmond said: “Angela’s family is understandably concerned and they just want to know she is safe and well. I would ask anyone who has seen Angela or who has any information as to her whereabouts to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4130 of 21 April, 2023.
