Concern growing for Perth man missing since February as police issue CCTV images

Concern is growing for a man who vanished from Perth more than four months ago.

John Baikie was last seen in the town centre on Tuesday February 8.

The 75-year-old was wearing dark coloured clothing when he disappeared.

Officers originally said John "lives a generally solitary lifestyle" and it is "not unusual for him not to be seen for fairly long periods of time".

He is also believed to regularly travel around the country but police say they want to track him down and make sure he is safe.

Tayside Police have now issued two CCTV images in a bid to help trace him.

A force spokesman said: “He is described as 5ft 9in tall with short grey/white hair.

“When John was last seen he was wearing dark coloured clothing and carrying a distinctive yellow/green backpack.

“Anyone who thinks they may have seen John since 8 February or has any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting missing person reference MPR5902700622.”
