'Concern growing' for missing Inverness man as cops make urgent appeal

Police say "concerns are growing" for a man reported missing from Inverness after he disappeared on Monday evening.

Robert Shepherd was last seen around 5pm on May 15, in the Aultnaskiach area of the city.

The 57-year-old is described as around 6ft 1ins, of stocky build with short, dark brown hair that is greying. He has a tattoo on his left shoulder.

When last seen Robert was wearing a mustard and burgundy coloured gilet, a light blue hooded top with a zip, a white and blue check shirt, blue chinos and green and brown trainers with orange laces.

Police Constable Darren Shield said: “Concerns are growing for Robert’s welfare and we are keen to make sure he is safe and well.

“I am asking anyone who has seen Robert or might know where he is to get in touch. If Robert hears about this appeal then I urge him to get in touch with us or his family.”

Anyone who can help should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 4047 of Monday, 15 May, 2023.
