The PSNI's officers at the Police East Belfast unit are asking members of the public if anyone has seen a 14-year-old girl who has been reported as missing.
Police say that they are concerned as to the whereabouts of Kianna Donaghy. In a post on Facebook, they said: "She was last seen at her home address near Wyndham Street at approximately 1400hrs on 29/12/22.
"If you have any information regarding this please contact us on 101 providing reference number 2005 of 29/12/22." In a previous post, she was described as as being 5ft 3in tall, with dark shoulder length hair.
It has also been reported that she has links to the Royal Avenue area of Belfast and is possibly known to frequent the Cregagh area.
The charity missingpeople.org.uk says that someone is reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK, equating to a total of 170,000 people. Of that number, more than 70,000 are children, of whom 80 per cent are found within the first 24 hours of being reported missing and 90 per cent within two days. Only two per cent are not found in the first week.
