Police find 10-year-old missing from Edinburgh 'safe'

UPDATE: Dean Campbell has been found "safe", police said, as they thanked everyone for sharing their appeal.

POLICE are seeking information to help trace a 10-year-old boy who went missing from his primary school in Edinburgh.

Dean Campbell, who is from the Pilton area, was last seen at Forthview Primary School, West Pilton Place, at around 10am on Wednesday, August 23.

He is described as white, 4ft tall, slim build with short blond hair.

When last seen he was wearing black tracksuit bottoms with yellow markings, a white polo shirt and black trainers.

Sergeant Michael Thomson said: "There are growing concerns for Dean's welfare.

"Anyone who may have seen Dean since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1065 of 23 August 2023."
